Screen Display

Some pages are too large or they're going beyond my screen

1024 x 768 (or higher) screen resolution is recommended for optimum display quality. 800x600 resolution is the minimum required resolution.

16-bit or 32-bit Color (any setting better than 256-color) is recommended for best color display.

In Windows, minimize all applications then right-mouse click on the desktop and choose "Properties". Go to the "Settings" tab then select 800x600 or greater and High-Color (greater than 256 colors). When using FilesAnywhere, we recommend always maximizing your browser to fill the screen.

Remove unnecessary toolbars you have open (i.e.: 3rd-party web browser toolbars), since these restrict the maximum working space in your web browser window. If you do not have high enough resolution setting available, you can use vertical and horizontal scrollbars to access all options.

Graphics Performance

The first time you open a page, the screen graphics are initialized and subsequent trips to the same page will load faster. For optimum page display performance, make sure your Internet Explorer is configured to cache Temporary Internet Files, and that your temporary space is set high enough to hold the cached files for your next visit. In your browser, go to the "Tools/Internet Options" menu and under "Temporary Internet Files" click the Settings buttons. Here, you will want to "Automatically" check for newer versions of files, and set the disk space used for temporary files to a large enough setting (i.e. 100mb), while leaving even more space available on the local disk for Windows to operate efficiently with its use of Windows temporary files.

Font characters appear too large or too small

Verify that you have the recommended Font settings:

  1. Select "View" menu from the Internet Explorer menu bar.

  2. Click the "Text Size" button.

  3. Select "Medium".

If this still results in an unusual display of fonts, please review these settings:

  1. Select "Tools" then "Internet Options" from the Internet Explorer menu bar.

  2. Click the "Fonts" button.

  3. Verify the Language Script is Latin Based.

  4. Verify the Web Page Font is either Arial, Microsoft Sans Serif, Tahoma, or Verdana.

  5. Restart your web browser, reboot your PC, or try a different Display Setting if the problem remains.
