How are the Web Account and WebAdvanced plans different?

The WebAdvanced The WebAdvanced plan is ideal for data backup, for uploading a large amount of files to your remote storage space, for synchronizing folders between locations, and for drive-letter mapping with drag-and-drop and direct file open/save. WebAdvanced plans come with all of the features of the Individual Plan, plus the following capabilities: Automated, Scheduled Backups, Synchronization Local and Remote Folders, Resume Interrupted Transfers, Drag-and-Drop local files/folders into Backup Job Definition, Map a Network Drive Letter to your Account, Open/edit/save files directly from office applications, Drag-and-Drop files/folders to and from your Account, Direct FTP and SecureFTP (secure shell) Access to your Account using any standard, SFTP Application, Blowfish 128-bit Encryption, encrypting all files at the client computer, Workgroup SubAccounts (add any number of SubAccounts, starting with one). plans come with all of the features of the Individual Plan, plus the following capabilities:

Can I schedule Backups on my PC?  Do you offer a client desktop application?

Yes, the WebAdvanced plans come with a license for a client software application called "Handy Backup Setup Daily, Weekly or Monthly scheduled jobs. Synchronize folders between multiple locations, or create automated file transfer jobs. Jobs run automatically as a background service. Simple, wizard-based software is included with the WebAdvanced plan. for FilesAnywhere".  This software allows you to define backup Setup Daily, Weekly or Monthly scheduled jobs. Explain the annual plan vs. monthly plan?

The Monthly Plan allows you to pay as you go. FilesAnywhere offers no refunds for unused periods, so if you ever decide to quit the plan, at least you will not be committing to the next month if you are on a Monthly Plan. This is a good option for your first month, as you are deciding on the value of keeping your FilesAnywhere account for the long run. You can always switch to an Annual Plan at any time by choosing "Upgrade" and selecting an Annual Plan. Annual Plans save you money: you get up to 2 months free each year with an Annual Plan.

 

What do I get with the Workgroup plan?

Workgroup This is the best solution for teams who need to store and share files between offices, from home or when traveling. Share Folders using Read-Only or Full permissions. Adding a SubAccount A SubAccount is simply an additional user account, which is associated with a Primary account. The Primary account pays for all SubAccounts, and manages the SubAccounts. Any user plan can be upgraded to a Workgroup plan simply by adding SubAccounts. With the WebAdvanced plan, you can add individual SubAccounts as needed. With the Web-only Account, you choose the size of your Workgroup in blocks of 5 users (including the Primary user). WebAdvanced plans are more cost-effective if you only need a couple of SubAccounts, and come with more features. The Web Account Workgroup (purchased in multiples of 5 users) is generally less expensive for 5 or more users, but does not come with the WebAdvanced features. unlocks special features: Media Streaming, full-text Search Search File/Folder Names, Text in Files, Metatag Keywords or Comments.  Instantly search files in folders or account-wide. Can I cancel my subscription at any time?

Yes. The only time period you commit to is the current period.

 

This is the rest of the current month if you are on the Monthly Plan, or the remainder of the paid year if you on the Annual Plan. No refunds are offered on partially used periods. So, if you do cancel, it is recommended to choose "Cancel at End of Current Period", so that your account remains available for the duration of your paid period.

I only want to use FilesAnywhere for 1 month.  Will I be billed next month also?

All plans are subscriptions and are automatically billed to your credit card each period. Your credit card statements, along with the online Account Information Screen serve as your period billing statements from FilesAnywhere.

 

To enroll just for a month, sign up for the Monthly Plan, then within the Account Information Screen  choose "Close Plan at End of Period" to avoid the recurring charge next month.
