FileViews provides a powerful way to share files, since you define exactly what is available to users when you create the FileView. This is different from GroupShare The GroupShare feature allows you to share any of your folders with other users, assigning either read-only access or full access. Users with Read-only access can only Download files in the folders you are sharing. Users with Full Access can Download and Upload files into your folder. Use GroupShare with full access to collaborate on shared project files that your group can update, or publish files read-only for others to easily download via FilesAnywhere. You can navigate GroupShare folders directly in your Folder Tree, and work with GroupShare files and subfolders the same way you work with your own files and folders. In addition to providing full access to the files within a FileView, you can also assign the rights to modify the FileView and its Nodes. To provide maximum access, assign the "Full Access + Modify FileView" level.
Full Access + Modify FileView: Change FileView name and description, create and modify FileView Nodes (virtual folders), and full access to all linked files and folders.
Full Access: Full access to change all physical files and folders that are linked to the FileView.
Create and Update: Permission to view and download files, update existing files, rename existing files and folders, and copy files from a FileView to the user's remote folders. Users with this permission cannot Delete.
Read-Only: Permission to view the FileView structure, download files (read-only), and copy files from a FileView to the user's remote folders.
Users of a shared FileView will see the FileView appear under the "FileViews" folder under the "Shared Views" subfolder.
