Use the Move feature to move any files or folders to another location on your remote drive.  To move a file or folder, select the file or folder then click "Move".  You will be prompted for the new destination folder path.  Be sure to include the exact syntax of your remote folder, including your username as the root (i.e.: "\USERNAME\") followed by the subfolder name.

 

After clicking the Move button and giving the new name, the QuickTree will automatically refresh to show the new folder contents.

 

Important Tip: You can also Drag-and-Drop Login and click the "Multi-Upload" tab in to reveal the "Upload Drop Pad". Simply drag and drop anything you want onto this box, and it will start uploading immediately to your account. This tool is fast, reliable, "firewall-friendly", and works in all web browsers, using Windows, Mac or Linux. Another method available for drag-and-drop Uploads and Downloads is the WebFolder feature. Refer to the WebFolder User Guide in Help Contents. files from one folder to another using just your mouse (left button).

 

Information for New Users:

This feature moves files or folders to different folder locations on your remote drive. If you need to move FilesAnywhere remote files to your local computer, use the Download or Zip!Download features to make a local copy. Once you verify the downloaded files on your local PC, you can remove the remote files by Deleting them from the remote folder tree. Downloading files will copy them from the Internet to your local PC, leaving the Internet files intact (downloading does not move your remote files, it saves copies of them locally, so that you can download them again and again).  To completely move files off of the remote drive to your local drive first Download them (or Zip!Download them), then delete the remote files.  To Move files completely off of your local PC and onto your remote drive, use Upload (or Zip!Upload) to copy them up to your remote drive, then delete them locally. It is recommended that you keep at least one backup Setup Daily, Weekly or Monthly scheduled jobs. Synchronize folders between multiple locations, or create automated file transfer jobs. Jobs run automatically as a background service.
