The Multi-Upload tab enables you to upload multiple files and multiple folders with the greatest of ease. The default method when you switch to the MultiUpload tab is our "Upload Drop Pad. This is a Java control that is compatible with all operating systems (Win/Mac/Unix) and allows simple drag-and-drop Login and click the "Multi-Upload" tab in to reveal the "Upload Drop Pad". Simply drag and drop anything you want onto this box, and it will start uploading immediately to your account. This tool is fast, reliable, "firewall-friendly", and works in all web browsers, using Windows, Mac or Linux. Another method available for drag-and-drop Uploads and Downloads is the WebFolder feature. Refer to the WebFolder User Guide in Help Contents. uploads, supporting a massive number of files.

please use the ActiveX option, only available on the Microsoft Windows
platform.
Select a folder on your FilesAnywhere drive where you want your uploads to
go, then click the Multi-Upload tab or toolbar button.
The first time you open this tab, the integrated
Advanced Upload component will be installed. Loading
this component initially may take several minutes, depending on your Internet
connection speed - please allow this to complete while the "Please
Wait" message is visible.
Use the "Add" button to build a list
of files and folders to upload. You
also have the option of opening a separate File Explorer window to drag-and-drop
files and folders into the FilesAnywhere upload file list. In Windows, you can hold
down the "window" key on your keyboard (between Ctrl and Alt)
then press the "E" key, to open a separate file explorer window.
By default, the folder structure from your local
PC for the files you are uploading will be copied to your FilesAnywhere drive along with the files you upload. You
may uncheck this "Copy Destination Folders" checkbox if you
wish to specify a FilesAnywhere destination folder manually.
Important Note: the Zip!Upload feature will not
retain the subfolder structure when compressing, so you should manually
Zip folders using WinZip if you need to retain the subfolder structure
- or you may use the Upload feature to upload the complete structure without
compression.
Click the Upload or Zip!Upload button to begin
the transfer. The "Upload" button will upload the files separately,
however they will be transferred in a single upload batch. Zip!Upload
will automatically compress and upload all of the selected files into
one zip file. This creates a .zip file in the top folder that you specified
on your computer. You should delete this file later if you do not wish
to keep it, since the Zip!Upload process does not delete this file automatically.
A progress meter will show how much time is remaining
throughout the upload.
You will see a message when the upload is complete and the FilesAnywhere QuickTree (remote folder structure) will refresh to show the uploaded files.
