The QuickTree starts with your top-level root folder, which has the
same name as your username. Under
this folder you may create as many folders as you like to organize your
files. Some users may have the GroupShares folder at the top of the tree
(this is a user-specific option).
The
folder view to the left of the screen displays 5 main file browsing nodes
from the top-level "user" folder:
Always Visible:
User Folders (your own remote folders)
GroupShare folder tree (folders shared to you - this may be made the top-level folder as a user option)
Only Visible When Feature is Activated:
File Inbox (users can E-Send you files)

File Views (alternative, virtual folder structures)
Click the plus sign (+) to expand folders. You will see a "Loading..." message appear while the folder contents are downloaded. Folder contents are loaded on demand, so the QuickTree refreshes extremely fast.
This folder structure works exactly like the graphical file explorers you may already be used to with your operating system. Select a file and folder, then perform an action. Files and folders can be downloaded, Zip!Downloaded, E-Sent to others, renamed, copied, moved, or deleted.
Click the New Folder button to create folders. If you use the Multi-Upload feature to upload files, you can copy the same directory structure to the uploaded files that is on your PC. This saves you the time of creating folders, if you wish to repeat the same folder structure.

Select as many files as you wish to upload, from the dropdown list (up to 20 files).
Click the "Browse" button, then select any local file. The path to the local file you picked will appear next to the Browse button.
Repeat for as many files as you wish.
Press the "Upload" button to copy the files you chose to the remote folder you selected on the left.
The "Uploading" progress page appears and will remain open until the file transfer is complete. Be Patient with your uploads.
When the transfer is done, the Main View will be refreshed and your uploaded files will appear on your remote drive.

Select a file then click the Download toolbar button .
Your web browser will popup a confirmation question "Save or Open?". Choose to Save the file locally, unless you wish to open the file directly. If you choose to open the file, you can save it from within the application that is associated with it.
The file will begin to download.
You can also simply double-click any file
to start the download process.
The time needed to finish the transfer is completely dependent on your bandwidth to the Internet and the level of server activity. Because FilesAnywhere has an extremely high-capacity connection to the Internet, transfer rates will not normally be effected by other users. For cable modem, DSL, or other broadband users, downloading a 1MB file will typically take 10 seconds or less.
If you are using a modem, please be extremely patient, since file transfers can take a long time over slow connections. Use Zip!Download to download multiple files, folders, or for any large files that are not already compressed. Click the Multi-Download tab to find out more.
